Conquest inherits the base Commander ruleset and mechanics with the following changes:
(4-player games are suggested.)
- Commanders can be a legendary creature or planeswalker.
- Each player has 30 life in multiplayer. 1v1 players have 25 life.
- Commander damage is set to 12.
- Each player’s deck is at least 80 cards and is singleton. (No repeat cards except basic lands.)
- Scry Rule – During the start of game procedure, after taking mulligans (CR 103.4) and before taking pregame actions (CR 103.5), each player who is not first performs Scry X, where X is the number of players acting before them in turn order. This rule only affects multiplayer games.
Card Legality
The Conquest cardpool consists of all regulation-sized Magic cards publicly released by Wizards of the Coast other than those on the Reserved List, have silver borders, or acorn-shaped security stamps. Cards are legal to play with as of their sets’ prerelease.
